•Amongst the richest iron ore deposits ever discovered, includes nine-plus high-grade iron ore deposits

•High-quality ore requires no processing at mine site, product hauled 100 kilometres to Milne Inlet port

The Mary River Mine includes the Milne Inlet port. The port is connected to the mine, located 100 kilometres south, by tote road. During the ice-free summer season, ships transport iron ore to European ports for steel makers in continental Europe. Photo: Baffinland Iron Mines
